विश्व कप में भारत के प्रदर्शन पर सचिन तेंदुलकर ने कहा, 'मैं खूश हूं लेकिन संतुष्ट नहीं

मेलबर्न : महान क्रिकेटर सचिन तेंदुलकर विश्व कप में अब तक भारत के दबदबे वाले प्रदर्शन से प्रभावित हैं लेकिन इससे पूरी तरह संतुष्ट नहीं है और उन्होंने कहा कि टीम अपने खेल में और सुधार कर सकती है। पाकिस्तान और दक्षिण अफ्रीका पर जीत के बाद भारत पूल बी में शीर्ष पर चल रहा है और गत चैम्पियन टीम के कम से कम सेमीफाइनल में जगह बनाने की भविष्यवाणी करने वाले तेंदुलकर का मानना है कि अब तक का प्रदर्शन अच्छा रहा है।

दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ कल भारत की 130 रन की जीत के बाद इस पूर्व क्रिकेटर ने कहा, अब तक मैंने जो देखा हमने शीर्ष पर स्थिति मजबूत की है। यह काफी उज्जवल लग रहा है। मैं खुश हूं लेकिन मैं संतुष्ट नहीं हूं। मैं चाहता हूं कि टीम यह जारी रखे। शिखर धवन की 137 रन की पारी की मदद से भारत ने सात विकेट पर 307 रन बनाने के बाद दक्षिण अफ्रीका को 40.2 ओवर में 177 रन पर समेट दिया। भारत के लिए रिकॉर्ड छह विश्व कप में खेलने वाले तेंदुलकर का मानना है कि खिलाड़ी अब भी अपने प्रदर्शन में सुधार कर सकते हैं।

तेंदुलकर ने कहा, मैंने पहले भी कहा है कि वे इससे बेहतर बल्लेबाजी कर सकते हैं लेकिन मैं उनकी प्रतिभा और क्षमता को जानता हूं। और कल हमने शानदार बल्लेबाजी की। पारी का अंत बेहतर हो सकता था लेकिन कभी भी ऐसा नहीं लगा कि भारतीय टीम के पास योजना नहीं है और कभी ऐसा नहीं लगा कि दक्षिण हम पर हावी हो गया है।

बल्लेबाजों की तारीफ करते हुए इस दिग्गज बल्लेबाज ने कहा, मुझे लगता है कि शिखर ने पहले दो मैचों में शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और उम्मीद करता हूं कि वह यह प्रदर्शन जारी रखेगा। लेकिन सोने पर सुहागा चौथे नंबर पर अजिंक्य रहाणे की बल्लेबाजी रही। अजिंक्य जब बड़े शाट खेलता है तो लगता ही नहीं कि वह बड़े शाट खेलने की कोशिश कर रहा है। वह सिर्फ गेंद को अच्छी टाइमिंग के साथ खेलने की कोशिश करता है। डेल स्टेन पर उसने जो शाट लगाया वह शानदार था।

Narendra Modi

Narendra Damodardas Modi (Gujarati: [nəreːnd̪rə d̪ɑːmoːd̪ərəd̪ɑːs moːd̪iː] ( listen), born 17 September 1950) is the 15th and current Prime Minister of India, in office since 26 May 2014.[1][2] Modi, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), previously served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. He is currently the Member of Parliament (MP) from Varanasi.

Modi led the BJP in the 2014 general election, which resulted in an outright majority for the BJP in the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian parliament) – the last time that any party had secured an outright majority in the Lok Sabha was in 1984. Since then, Modi has also been credited for the BJP's electoral victories in the states of Haryana and Maharashtra in October 2014.[3]

Modi is a Hindu Nationalist and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).[4][5] He is a controversial figure both within India as well as internationally[6][7][8][9] as his administration has been criticised for failing to act to prevent the 2002 Gujarat riots.[9][10] Modi has been praised for his economic policies, which are credited with creating an environment for a high rate of economic growth in Gujarat.[11] However, his administration has also been criticised for failing to make a significant positive impact upon the human development of the state.[12]

देश में फिक्स्ड लाइन फोन कनेक्शनों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए भारतीय दूरसंचार नियामक प्राधिकरण (ट्राई) लैंडलाइन सेवा देने वालों को उसके उपभोक्ता की कॉल को जोड़ने वाले शुल्क को हटा दिया है. यानी अब इंटरकनेक्शन शुल्क नहीं लगेगा, जिससे लैंडलाइन कॉल की दरों में कमी आने की संभावना है. अब लैंडलाइन से लैंडलाइन या लैंडलाइन से मोबाइल पर कॉल करने के लिए इंटरकनेक्शन शुल्क नहीं लगेगा, जो 20 पैसे होता है. इसके अलावा दूरसंचार नियामक ने मोबाइल फोन के जरिए किए जाने वाली कॉल्स पर नेटवर्क इंटरकनेक्शन यूसेज चार्ज (आईयूसी) को करीब 30 प्रतिशत घटाकर 20 पैसे से 14 पैसे कर दिया है. एक दूरसंचार कंपनी का ग्राहक जब अन्य नेटवर्क पर कॉल करता है तो उसे इंटरकनेक्शन शुल्क देना होता है. यह उपभोक्ता द्वारा अदा किए जाने वाले अंतिम मूल्य में जुड़ जाता है. मोबाइल पर इनकमिंग को मुफ्त किए जाने के बाद से देश में लैंडलाइन कनेक्शन में कमी आ रही है. 2014 के अंत तक जहां मोबाइल उपभोक्ताओं की संख्या अपने सर्वकालिक उच्च स्तर 94.39 करोड़ पर पहुंच गई थी, वहीं लैंडलाइन कनेक्शन सिर्फ 2.7 करोड़ रह गए थे.

Monica Bellucci told Sam Mendes he would be a "hero among women" for taking a stand for older actresses

Actress Monica Bellucci, who has been cast alongside actor Daniel Craig in the latest Bond movie SPECTRE, initially believed she was auditioning to replace Judi Dench.

Monica, 50, said she had been summoned to meet director Sam Mendes to discuss a role in the upcoming film, reported Daily Telegraph. ( First Look: Daniel Craig as SPECTRE's James Bond)

"I just blurted out: I'm not a girl, I'm a woman, I'm a mature woman. Do I have to replace Judi Dench? 'Why do you call me? I'm 50 years old. What am I going to do in James Bond?'," she said.

"He said, 'For the first time in history, James Bond is going to have a story with a mature woman. The concept is revolutionary'," she added.

Monica added she had told Sam he would be a "hero among women" for taking a stand for older actresses, after deciding her wanted a woman of a similar age to Bond to play alongside him.

INR to USD forex rates today: Rupee gains 6 paise against dollar in early trade

Mumbai, Feb 24: The rupee strengthened by 6 paise to 62.25 against the dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on fresh selling of the US currency by exporters and banks.
Forex dealers said besides selling of the American currency by exporters and banks, a higher opening in domestic stock market supported the rupee. They said, however, gains in dollar against major world currencies overseas limited the rise.


The rupee had ended 9 paise lower at 62.31 against the US currency in yesterday’s trade on fag-end dollar demand from banks and importers amid sharp fall in stock markets. Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 79.71 points, or 0.27 per cent, to trade at 29,054.82 in early trade
