Thailand Declares Additional Public Holidays to Boost Domestic Tourism in 2025

Thailand has announced additional public holidays in 2025 to stimulate domestic tourism and boost the economy. The Cabinet has approved two extra Mondays—June 2 and August 11—creating four-day weekends when combined with existing holidays like the Queen’s Birthday on June 3 and Mother’s Day on August 12. Additionally, January 2, 2026, has been declared a holiday, extending the New Year break to five days.
